NOTICE: New One Health faculty position advertisement now posted – University of Florida (USA) https://jobs.ufl.edu/postings/37275 Job Description: The University of Florida’s College of Public Health and Health Professions invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor faculty position in one health. Through academic training, infectious disease and toxicological research, we embrace goals of One Health interdisciplinary collaboration in tackling public health’s most complex problems. The successful candidate will join a growing and dynamic department with colleagues who conduct research in environmental infectious diseases, global health, and toxicology. In addition to research this new faculty member will help in the training of graduate students in One Health certificate, MHS, and PhD degree programs (see http://egh.phhp.ufl.edu/academic-programs/). The new faculty member will academically join the College’s Environmental and Global Health Department and, depending upon expertise, may have additional research affiliations with other UF colleges, institutes, or centers, including the College of Veterinary Medicine. The candidate will be responsible for developing an independent research program and for teaching one health, zoonotic diseases, or environmental health courses. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine, public health, environmental health, medicine, microbiology, entomology, or a related field. Previous demonstrated excellence in winning NIH R01-equivalent research funding and in teaching is absolutely essential. The position is supported by a competitive salary and startup package. This is a 1.0 FTE, 12-month tenure track position. The University of Florida is a comprehensive Research I institution that includes a remarkably wide range of academic departments and programs (www.ufl.edu). PHHP (www.phhp.ufl.edu) is part of the University’s Health Science Center, which also includes the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine.
