9:00 am – 10:30 am One World – One Health: Laboratories and their Roles in Protecting the World’s Health

 

The One Health concept embraces a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and

communications in all aspects of health care, for humans, animals and the environment. This opening plenary

session will explore the laboratory role in advancing this initiative, challenging members to step back and

consider how they fit into such a far-reaching approach.

 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to:

 

• Summarize the concept of One World – One Health, and outline how this concept can be used

in a laboratory setting.
