The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Board on Animal Health Sciences, Conservation, and Research (BAHSCR) will host a webinar titled:

Continuing the Conversation: Openness and Global Perspectives in Communicating About Research That Requires the Care and Use of Animals

This webinar builds directly on the December 2023 National Academies workshop Effective Communication with the General Public about Scientific Research that Requires the Care and Use of Animals Workshop and will examine how principles such as proactive engagement, institutional transparency, values-based communication, and bidirectional dialogue can be applied across diverse cultural and regulatory contexts. A One Health lens will be used to highlight the interconnected benefits of animal research for human, animal, and environmental health.

Intended audience: research scientists, veterinary professionals, IACUC members, institutional officials, compliance and communications professionals, and transparency organizations.
