“One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems (Adisasmito and others, 2022). It recognizes that the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment (including ecosystems) are closely linked and interdependent. The One Health approach mobilizes multiple sectors, disciplines, and communities to work together to tackle threats to health while addressing the collective need for clean water and air, energy, safe and nutritious food (Adisasmito and others, 2022). This presentation will highlight how EMA science including environmental contaminants, wildlife disease, invasive species, wildland fire, and climate change, serves as a foundational component of One Health.
