A potentially valuable international One Health project...

International One Health Platform Project Evolving

A nascent international “One Health Platform” project http://onehealthplatform.com/engine/ has been developing with various hopeful features aimed at promoting and implementing the One Health concept.  It currently has several prominent One Health supporting partners http://onehealthplatform.com/engine/?page_id=76.

Since 2011, three International One Health Congresses http://onehealthplatform.com/engine/?page_id=222 have been organized on a biennial basis. The fourth edition will be held in Melbourne, Australia, in December 2016. More information is available at http://oheh2016.org

In order to ensure the continuity of the International One Health Congresses, the One Health Platform will be responsible for organising subsequent editions. We are currently seeking expressions of interest in hosting the Fifth International One Health Congress. Download the Call for Expression of Interest now.

The World Veterinary Association/World Medical Association Global Conference on One Health which was held in Madrid, Spain on 21-22 May 2015, brought together 330 delegates from 40 countries around the world to discuss the One Health Concept. Download the conference report and presentations here.

In addition, this is associated with a new open-access journal - One Health http://www.journals.elsevier.com/one-health/ (the official journal of the One Health Foundation).  Also recognized and included in the One Health Initiative website’s Homepage sidebar tabs as:

Editor’s Note:  This is a hopeful and potentially valuable step forward for the international One Health movement as it continues to remain “One Health-One Medicine” all inclusive in the spirit of the One Health Umbrella graphic http://www.onehealthinitiative.com/OneHealth2, operates ecumenically worldwide, and persists in expanding altruistic public affairs vistas.
