Oman to host regional meet to accelerate implementation of One Health (muscatdaily.com)

Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Eastern Mediterranean and the WHO European Region, will host on Monday, the quadripartite regional meeting to accelerate the implementation of One Health in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

Senior management and decision makers from the health, livestock, agriculture, and environmental sectors from 22 nations in the region will attend the meeting to share experiences and fulfil targeted objectives.

The meeting will provide an update on global and regional progress in the area of One Health, share experiences on the use of existing tools, introduce the regional One Health operational framework; discuss how it aligns with the global quadripartite One Health joint plan of action and to explore ways to adapt it at country level.

The meeting will also consider including and implementing behavioral insights, data, and tools in the national One Health plans, as well as introduce the regional One Health quadripartite taskforce to streamline its efforts among the quadripartite organisations at the regional and country levels. ...”
