One Health Initiative website Honorary Advisory Board Joined by President, World Medical Association

 

May 6, 2013 — Today we proudly announce that among the current outstanding and distinguished One Health supporter/advocates and recognized One Health  leaders, Cecil B. Wilson, MD, MACP has graciously agreed to serve as a participating member of the One Health Initiative website team’s Honorary Advisory Board http://www.onehealthinitiative.com/advBoard.php.  This Advisory Board was established December 1, 2010 and now has 28 members.

 

Dr. Wilson http://www.wma.net/en/60about/40leaders/CV_Cecil_B_Wilson_WMA_President_2012-13.pdf, a nationally and internationally respected physician, practices internal medicine in Orlando, Florida (USA), currently serves as president of the World Medical Association and is a past president of the American Medical Association.  He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. 

A longstanding activist One Health leader and advocate, Dr. Wilson has worked collaboratively with members of the One Health Initiative team and the Florida State Health Department.   He gave a significant and well received One Health presentation http://www.onehealthinitiative.com/publications/Cecil%20Wilson%20MD%20NAVC%20Jan%202011.pdf before an audience at the January 2011 North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando, FL.
