One Health Initiative website Honorary Advisory Board Joined by U.S. Food and Drug Administration Official

 

September 14, 2012 — Today we proudly announce that among the current outstanding One Health supporter/advocates and recognized leaders, Kathleen F. Gensheimer, MD, MPH, has graciously agreed to serve as a participating member of the One Health Initiative website team’s Honorary Advisory Board http://www.onehealthinitiative.com/advBoard.php.  This Advisory Board was established December 1, 2010 and now has 27 distinguished members.

 

Dr. Gensheimer, a nationally respected public health leader and epidemiologist, currently serves as chief medical officer and outbreak director at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Washington, D.C. (USA).  She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York in 1977 and her Master of Public Health degree (MPH) from Harvard University, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1991.
