One Health
The One Health approach recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. It emphasizes that the health of people is closely linked to the health of animals and the environment, and that addressing health issues requires a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach. Recent research has highlighted various aspects of this interconnectedness, particularly in the context of chronic diseases, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases.

Recent studies have explored the rising incidence of autoimmune disorders, which are conditions where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own cells. A comprehensive analysis of 22 million individuals in the UK revealed that autoimmune diseases affect about 10% of the population, with significant increases in conditions like coeliac disease and Sjögren's syndrome over time. This study also noted socioeconomic and seasonal variations in disease incidence, suggesting that environmental factors may play a role in the development of these disorders[1]. ...”
