University of Minnesota International Conference on One Medicine One Science – April24-27, 2016 The University of Minnesota will host the 2nd International Conference on One Medicine One Science (iCOMOS 2016) at The Commons Hotel on the Minneapolis campus from April 24–27, 2016. iCOMOS is a global forum to communicate the importance of science in solving pressing health issues at the interface of humans, animals and the environment. The iCOMOS 2016 program will feature state-of-the-art and keynote presentations by speakers representing more than 13 countries in the following sessions: Balancing Personalized/Precision Medicine and Public Health in a Changing Environment Air Quality, Environmental Exposures, and Health Water at the Interface of Health, Economics, and Environment Role of Science in Formulation of Local and Global Health Policy In addition, iCOMOS 2016 will feature workshops on: Tomorrow’s Health Science Workforce: Physician-Scientists and Team Science (organized by faculty and experts from UMN/NIH) One Health One Policy: Managing Risk En Route to Global Food Security (organized by faculty and experts from UMN/FAO) Big Data: The Language and Future of One Medicine One Science (organized by faculty from UMN-CVM/OVPR/CFANS) Team Science:Canine and Human Epilepsy, a Model for Bidirectional Benefit (organized by faculty and experts from UMN-CVM, Mayo Clinic, NIH, Epilepsy Foundation) Conference information and updates are available at iCOMOS.umn.edu.
