One Health Arkansas is an initiative that has been primarily led by the veterinary community within the state. This year’s conference continues the attempt to expand the involvement to include the human health side of the equation (physicians, nurses, and pharmacists) in order to accomplish the objectives of the One Health Initiative. We hope to do this by informing participants on what this initiative is, how to utilize the initiative within your respective profession, and address specifically some One Health issues such as the Human Animal Bond, human health concerns from interacting with animals in various public settings, and tying together animal and human health emergency preparedness.
