The 2025 Rx One Health Field Institute welcomes you to join us!  Explore California's vibrant and diverse ecosystems while building One Health skills!  The 2025 theme is Biodiversity Conservation.

LEARN about ecosystem health, pathogen transmission, health inequities, epidemiology, disease surveillance, and biodiversity conservation while building critical skills in communications, community and stakeholder engagement, teamwork, leadership, and more, all while immersed in California's renowned landscapes.

JOIN a community of aspiring One Health professionals from around the world and BUILD lifelong friendships and professional connections with One Health experts.  Our alumni network extends globally. Participants often reflect that Rx One Health was a transformative experience in their career trajectory.

GROW through hands-on, practical learning experiences, case studies, group discussions, and field exercises. Rx One Health will teach you how to address complex challenges using the One Health approach, which recognizes that the health of people, animals, and their environments are interconnected.  The course is led by faculty from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary MedicineSchool of Medicine, and the University of California Global Health InstituteCenter for Planetary Health.

Applications are now open and are due January 31, 2025.  The course is open to graduate students, professional students (MS, MPH, MD, DVM, JD, RN, etc.) and early career professionals from all professional disciplines (including medicine, public health, veterinary medicine, agriculture, animal science, international development, laboratory science, environmental resources, wildlife conservation, law, engineering, social sciences, etc). International applicants are welcome to apply.
