"As a belated commemoration of One Health Day ( See: One Health Commission) and to highlight UPLB’s role as a leader in One Health control of zoonotic diseases, the UPLB Zoonoses Center hosted the One Health Symposium with the theme “Enhancing zoonotic diseases control in the communities through One Health” at the Foronda Hall in UPLB on November 27, 2024.
In his opening remarks during the symposium, UPLB Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., highlighted the goal of making UPLB a leader in One Health programs through collaborations and initiatives to address critical issues in public health, veterinary science, and environmental sustainability.
UPLB Zoonoses Center Director Remil Galay discussed the history of the institution and its activities, explaining research efforts and developments, public service initiatives, and its linkages to put One Health to the fore in zoonotic disease prevention and management. ..."
