Nikkei/FT conference address touts 'One Health approach,' multiple sectors working for public benefit
“...Tedros also pointed that not only humans but also the health of animals and environmental problems are closely linked, and therefore what he called a "One Health approach" -- in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes -- is needed. He called for measures to prevent expansion of antimicrobial resistance and zoonosis, in which diseases are transmitted from animals to humans. He also called for efforts to mitigate the health impacts of climate change. ...”
